As we can accept your order and make a legally enforceable agreement without further reference to you, you must read these Terms and Conditions to make sure that they contain all that you want and nothing that you are not happy with. If you are not sure about anything, just email us at admin@lcmdanceacademy.co.uk.
Registration & Health Declaration
All parents / guardians must complete and sign a registration form on joining the School agreeing to our terms and conditions, privacy policy & safeguarding policy. On the registration form you must inform us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries in which your child has.
Liability
LCM Dance Academy accepts no liability for any injuries sustained whilst participating in a dance class or on the Venue Premises. LCM Dance Academy accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of personal belongings or property whilst on the Venue Premises. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall in any way limit LCM Dance Academy's liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded at law.
Fees and Payment
Invoices are emailed out before the start of each term and are due on receipt, we expect the invoice to be paid before the first lesson of the new term. 10% surcharge will be added to any outstanding fees if not paid by the first lesson of term. No refunds will be given for classes missed due to holidays or illness. The Principal reserves the right to ask parents to withdraw their child should fees be in arrears.
Cancellation of Classes
In the unlikely event that a class needs to be cancelled or changed at short notice due to staff illness parents/guardians will be notified by email as well as a notice being placed on our social media sites. The class will be made up at a later date.
Payment conditions and charges are as follows:
BACS / Bank transfer are the only acceptable forms of payment (in pound sterling only). No other method of payment may be used.
BACS payments must state the relevant student’s full name as reference or the invoice number given, any failure to do so may result in the invoice being treated as unpaid as we may be unable to ascertain which student the payment has been made in respect of. We do not provide receipts for any payments.
Illness
Pupils must not attend class if they are showing any symptoms of illness or have been off school that day due to illness. Please inform us immediately if your child has an infectious disease that we need to make other parents/guardians aware of. If a child has been sick or had diarrhoea they need to be clear of any symptoms for 48 hours before returning to class.
Giving Notice
Once the registration form has been completed and the student has been fully enrolled. We do not require this to be filled out again. A full term’s notice is required if a pupil wishes to stop a class at any point in the term, or a full term’s fees paid in lieu. No refunds will be issued for any student who withdraws from a class mid term or decides not to return once fees have been paid. If any fees/bills are left outstanding you will be invoiced for these. All payments are final.

Due to the nature of teaching dance, teachers may have to have physical contact with pupils in order to correctly position a pupil’s body. This will always be done in a professional way. If you would rather your child not be touched please inform the Principal in writing.
Photography & Recording
Teachers may make use of photography and recording in class to aid with teaching or to allow pupils to practice at home. Photos or videos from class or on exam days may be posted on the school website or social media pages. These will only posted if parents have consented to this on our registration form.
Parents may withdraw their permission at any time and images will be removed as soon as reasonable and without question.
Any parent who wishes to take photographs / video's at an LCM Dance Academy event must first obtain the permission of the Principal. Only then if the Principal agrees and all parents concerned give their permission may a photograph or video be posted on social media.
Failure to comply with this policy will result in the parent concerned being asked to remove all evidence of photography / filming.
Any parent / guardian who does not permit the use of photography or recording as stated above must put this in writing to the Principal.
Examinations
Examinations are optional. Decisions on suitability for examinations or Class Awards are made by the class teacher and Principal who together will always have a pupil’s best interests at heart. If a student is put forward for an examination attendance in weekly classes and exam coaching is compulsory and we reserve the right to withdraw a pupil if they have not attended enough classes in the run up to the exam.
Lost Property
Please have your name clearly marked on your uniform and shoes. Teachers will always try to reunite pupils with named items however all property is left at own risk. Any property unclaimed at the end of a term will be disposed of.
